讓我們來懷舊一下吧，迪斯可年代的I Will Survive。

你以為我會死掉，你以為我會碎成片片，但我不會，我會倖存下來。好好活著給你看。
嗯。現代人種種關係中的荒謬、煎熬與折磨，竟然都被這部電影搞得這麼好笑無以名狀。

《變態五星級》（SURVIVE STYLE5＋）裡，劇中淺野忠信從高樓往下一跳，正好被變成公雞的岸部一德救起，兩人馳騁在天空中，儼然重獲新生自由。這個結尾不禁讓人笑出來，唉，還有比這更加白爛的電影情節嗎？

這時，正好響起的背景音樂是Cake翻唱1979年Gloria Gaynor的〈I Will Survive〉，原本激越昂揚、充滿女性自覺、報以舊情人顏色的一首「給我瞧瞧，我會好好活下去給你看」的振奮人心之懷舊迪斯可，頓時變成一首無賴的怪歌，很像搞笑藝人來作亂的。果然這部電影連選曲都很妙，雖然原曲經常被各大電影引用，但是Cake的雜耍版剛好用來說明這些荒謬的另類Survive姿態。

正當我讓i-tune不停在原唱與蛋糕翻唱版之間轉個幾輪、電視還一邊播放著《變態五星級》自己偷偷作樂時，此時厲害的G，看見我的MSN個人訊息上，寫著：I Will Survive-Gloria Gaynor，遂打開話匣，於是我們從這是不是原唱，到討論起Cake這個莫名其妙的美國團：

我：我是最近才知道這團的。
我：嗯嗯，聽起來真是痛快
G：那個吉他手是那種笨拙得理直氣壯的，很讚
G：就一個音solo狂幹到底
我：對對對
我：主唱也是
G：對
我：一種無賴唱腔
我：就是好像一般的評價都不高
我：可是我卻覺得很讚，每張都抓下來
G：全是最佳勇氣獎
我：哈哈哈
我：您的評語真是精準
我：我還以為只有我有這種壞品味，偷偷收起來。。。

於是，Cake跟變態五星級，儼然都是最近的壞品味之一種。
